About this Project

This project will identify resolution pathways that become dysregulated when rheumatoid arthritis is complicated by diabetes, hypertension or cardiovascular disease. It will evaluate the vascular and cardioprotective actions of resoloxins using animal models, human vascular organoids and patient-derived tissues.

Your profile and what you'll gain

Skills required

Background in pharmacology, immunology, cardiovascular biology or biomedical science; experience with cell culture or experimental disease models; interest in translational vascular research.

Skills acquired

Cardiovascular disease models, single-cell RNA sequencing, human induced-pluripotent-stem-cell-derived vascular organoids, plaque explant studies, transcriptomics, proteomics, lipidomics and therapeutic-response assessment.

Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, candidates should ensure they meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • have a MSc degree in Life Sciences or obtain a MSc degree by October 2026
  • have completed a research internship with relevant expertise
  • have obtained high grades during his/her studies
  • be fluent in English (some countries may also require language certifications – this will be communicated to applicants following shortlisting)
  • applicant must not have resided in the country of the recruiting organisation for more than 12 months preceding the recruitment date
